Many companies have been using address labels on computers, software and electronics for identifying security, warranty and product identification.

When you purchase new computer software, print the serial number on a label and stick in directly on the cd case. If you ever need to reinstall it, you have immediate access to the serial number so you don't need to search thru piles of paperwork trying to find the serial number so you can reinstall it.
